The finals and the awarding ceremony of Inter Regiment Net Ball Championship was held on 22nd of April 2021 at Panagoda Indoor Gymnasium and Chief of Defence Staff and the Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhill graced the event as the chief guest.
The Commander of the Army was welcomed by Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu , Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps and Commander SF(J), Brigadier Janaka Rathnayaka RSP , Chairman Army Net Ball Committee.
It was commenced on 21st April with the participants of six teams representing Sri Lanka Military Police, Sri Lanka General Service Corps , Sri Lanka Signal Corps and the two teams of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps.
At the end of the preliminary matches Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps A team and B team were selected for the finals while Sri Lanka Signal Corps team retaining for the 2nd runner up and team A SLAWC won the championship.
The awarding ceremony was held with the presence of Commander of the Army and other distinguish guests.
