The Second quarter of the Officers’ Training Day - 2023 of SLAWC organized by the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps was held on 28 June 2023 at the RC CES - Panagoda with the participation of Senior Officers/Officers belong to the organization. It was conducted with the Direction and Guidance of Major General UD Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc, the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps and Commander Security Forces - East and the supervision of Brigadier JKR Jayakody RWP USP, the Commandant the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps in order to enhance the general standard of regimentation, professionalism, development and cohesiveness of SLAWC Officers.
The day's proceedings commenced with a lecture on “Philosophy of Femineity & Righteousness of Women’s Role Play for Balance Society” by Maj JTPKP Alwis RWP USP psc, Commanding Officer- 1 Special Forces Regiment. Lt Col KM Muthaliff (Retd) SLAWC, Freelance Counselor/Therapist and also a one of retired senior officer of 1st battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps conducted a fruitful lecture as the second session of Officers’ Training Day programme with her vast experience and knowledge. Soon after the offering of a delicious lunch, Mrs. Bhagya Abeysinghe, Counseling Psychology delivered a useful lecture on “Women Beyond the Love Triangle”.
In order to mark the termination of the event, the Diners' Club was conducted on “History of Sri Lankan Culture” to enlighten the officer’s knowledge on the subject area by Lt Col SMNKB Senevirathne RWP RSP psc, the Commanding Officer of 3 Special Forces Regiment. In addition to that session Major TTKK Fernando psc SLAWC, the Commanding officer of 1SLAWC conducted a short presentation about the Future projects of Regimental Centre and Importance of following Courses by SLAWC Officers. Further there was a officers’ get-together at Officers ‘Mess of RC CES as an entertainment event with musical session.
