SLAWC OFFICERS AND OTHER RANKS CONTRIBUTED IN INDEPENDENCE DAY
71st Independence Day was Celebrated on 04th February 2019 at Galle face with the participation of His Excellency The President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena and other distinguished guest of Sri Lanka, As well as foreign countries. The theme of the Independent Day was “EKATA SITIMU” (Let’s be together) To make proud to the parade Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps also in the parade comprising 04x101 Officers and Other Ranks. The Women’s Corps troop was commanded By Major D C N Bombuwala SLAWC, who is the Commanding Officer of 7th Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Crops. Captain S A C M Gandarawatte, Lt D H D Weerasekara, Lt H A J Hettiarachchi and WO I B L S R Buthpitiya marched at the parade .
