SLAWC Ladies Visit Mentally Handicapped Inmates at Mulleriyawa
Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) Seva Vanitha Unit, chaired by Mrs Maheshi Medawela visited mentally handicapped inmates at Mulleriyawa Hospital recently.
Around 50 Army lady officers and woman soldiers participated in the visit and offered a delicious lunch to those inmates.
Those inmates were entertained to music and dancing features, provided by the Seva Vanitha Unit.
It was apparent that they all were in full spirits during the conduct of the programme, making onlookers shed tears, as they join singing and dancing.
