Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps together with 1st Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps organized a Roti and Beli Mal Tea Dansala on 23 May 2024 in order to commemorate the Vesak Full Moon Poya Day In front of the Regimental Centre - Borella.
This Project was organized under the guidance and direction given by the Major General Senaka Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps with the contribution of all ranks of RC SLAWC and 1SLAWC.
The event saw the participation of over 2,000 civilians. Mrs. Udula Kasturimudali President of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Seva Vanitha Branch graced the event as the chief guest.
Brigadier Rohan Jayakody RWP USP - Centre Commandant SLAWC, Mrs Idunil Jayakody - Vice President of SLAWC Seva Vanitha Branch and all ranks of the RC SLAWC, Maj Chamika De Saram psc SLAWC Commanding Officer and all ranks of 1SLAWC also participated for this moment.
