ORGANIZING A DAY’S PROGRAMME IN HONOUR OF CHILDREN’S DAY

The Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Seva Vanitha Unit, in honour of Children’s Day, organized a special programme for 24 children at the Lawris Children Home, in Colombo 10, on the 29th of September 2022. The event was organized and headed by the President of the Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Apsara Ranawaka, the Vice President Mrs Ashika Thibbotuge and the Commanding Officer of 1 SLAWC Major GRPK Galhena along with Officers and all ranks of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Regiment.

The day’s event included of a series of fun activities for the children, which they thoroughly enjoyed, followed by a serving of lunch and a spread of evening tea. After a day spent with the children, the programme was brought to a successful close with a gift awarding ceremony.
