Newly Commissioned two lady officers joined with Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps.

2/Lt SMGKK Samarakoon SLAWC and 2/Lt WASA Weerakoon SLAWC joined with Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps after completion of Military Training at Pakistan Military Academy on 18 August 2021. These two lady officers have been selected to train in overseas for the first time in the history of Sri Lanka Military Academy and also their names are written in the history of Pakistan Military Academy as the first foreign lady cadets.

On 18 February 2020 they were enlisted to Sri Lanka Army under the Lady Intake 18 of Sri Lanka Military Academy and got opportunity to undergo cadet training in the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul under lady cadet course 17 from 16 November 2020 to 10 April 2021.
