NEWLY APPOINTED COLONEL COMMANDANT ASSUMED THE OFFICE

Major General D A P N Dematanpitiya ndu psc, assumed duties as the 17^th Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) on 30^th October 2019.

Newly appointed Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by Colonel W S A Dissanayake RSP, Centre Commandant of SLAWC and then honoured with a Guard Turnout at Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps, Borella. Afterwards, Major General D A P N Dematanpitiya ndu psc officially assumed the duties of Colonel Commandant amidst religious observances. The initial ceremonial formalities followed by an all rank tea and a troop address. Colonel Commandant’s address to the officers, marked the termination of the days event.
