THE COMMANDING OFFICER OF 1SLAWC MAKING HER FIRST FORMAL VISIT TO SLAWC TRAINING SCHOOL AT KALUAGGALA AND ARMY CANTONMENT PANAGODA TO ADDRESS WOMEN SOLDIERS OF 1SLAWC.

The recently-appointed Commanding Officer of 1st Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps, Maj E M H C De Saram psc SLAWC made her first visit on 16 May 2024 to Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Training School at Kaluaggala and Army Cantonment Panagoda to address women soldiers of 1SLAWC on 17 May 2024 as 29th Commanding Officer of 1st Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps.

During the formal address to both Officers and Other Ranks at the respective locations, the Commanding Officer highlighted the importance of the Army as a professional outfit, welfare, benefits of financial management and work-life balance. We have an obligation to maintain our professional standards with commitment and high discipline, which is also a reflection of a soldier. The Commanding Officer interviewed Officers and Other Ranks after the address to gain a deeper understanding of Officers’ and Other Ranks' thoughts and problems.
