The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Seva Vanitha Branch held on 28 June 2023 at the RC CES, Panagoda with the guidance of Commander Security Forces Headquarters-EAST and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Major General UD Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc and conducted the event in grand scale with participation of Seva Vanitha Branch Executive Committee and members.
Mrs. Shyamali Wijesekera President of the SLAWC Seva Vanitha Branch graced the AGM as the Chief Guest who led it until the termination of the meeting. The event commenced with the singing of the Seva Vanitha Anthem followed by the key note speech conducted by Commander Security Forces Headquarters – EAST and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Major General Darshana Wijesekera.
During the AGM, matters pertaining to various welfare activities that was conducted and yet to be implemented for benefits of war heroes and their families was deeply discussed. Further witnessed a short video clip of the series of the welfare projects that was carried out by SLAWC Seva Vanitha Branch during the period of Mrs. Shyamali Wijesekera taking over the duties as the Chairperson and she discussed about the future projects that supposed to be carried out for the benefits of the organizations.
As a notable part of the event fresh vegetables packs consisted with 13 different kinds of fresh vegetables were donated to Civil Staff of RC SLAWC and 1SLAWC under the concept and contribution of Col commandant and president of the SLAWC Seva Vanitha Branch.
