Troops of 3 Volunteer Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps offered a special lunch to elderly fathers of “Sarana” Elders home at Sandunpura on 11 July 2023. This Programme was organized and initiated by all ranks of 3(v)SLAWC with the supervision of Major Harshi De Silva, the Commanding Officer of 3(v)SLAWC under the guidance of Mrs. Shyamali Wijesekera, President of Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps Seva Vanita Branch. During the latter part of event entertainment programme was held including musical event to bring little happiness for their lives. Further there was a distribution of gifts packs including essentials items for the elders at ‘Sarana’ Elders Home.
The occasion was graced by the President of SLAWC Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Shyamali Wjesekera and the Commanding officer of 3 Volunteer Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps along with all Ranks of the battalion also participated for the event.
