The Championship in the Women$s events went to athletics of 6th Sri Lanka Army Women$s Corps
The Army Regimental Athletic Meet was held on 28th November evening for the Occasion of 50th Anniversary at Sugathadasa National Stadium. The Ceremony has organized by the Army Athletic Committee on the direction of the Commander of the Army. Hon DM Jayarathna, Prime Minister as the Chief Guest Came to the Closing Ceremony.
Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps has given their eternal support for the mean of colorful this meet by the Army Band display, march pasts and also by the tattoo Display.
The Championship in the Women’s events went to athletics of 6th Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps and 4th Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps became the First Runner-up.
With the Records of this Year the Athletics have Light up the Organization as well as the Overall Women’s Corps Regiment. Those who brought the records to the Regiment are Nadeeka Lakmali(Javelin Throw), Niluka Rajapaksha(5000m), EP Nilmini(Discuss Throw), T Anusha(Discuss Throw), WAIG Wisidagama(Discuss Throw), AWASM Amarasingha(Hammer Throw), PVNS Dilanki(Long Jump), 4th SLAWC sprinter in the 4x400.
