Brigadier PMS Karunaratne psc assumed office as the 19th Centre Commandant at Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) on 13th August 2024 at the Regimental Centre, SLAWC. The ceremonial formalities were commenced with a Guard Turnout, Guard of Honor, Laying of flower wreath to the SLAWC War Heroines Monument, All Ranks Tea and Troop Address.
The newly appointed Centre Commandant took over duties at the auspicious time amidst religious blessings and he attended the all ranks tea followed by troop address.
