The awarding ceremony of the Inter Battalion Drill Competition – 2023 of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps was conducted at Sandunpura 3 Volunteer Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps on 11 July 2023 under the guidance and instructions of the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps and the Commander Security Force Headquarters – East, Major General UD Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc.
The Competition was conducted with the participation of two drill platoons and one out of two platoons consist with 1 and 7 Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps, and other drill platoon consist with 2 and 3 Volunteer Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps.
Displaying tremendous overall performances, 2 and 3(v)SLAWC drill squad emerged as the Champions in the Inter Battalion Drill Competition-2023. Lt Nishadi Deerasinghe of 7SLAWC clinched the Best Platoon Commander award and the Warrant Officer II Helan B of 3(v)SLAWC won the Best Drill Instructor Award for their outstanding performances.
Further, Senior Officers, Officers of RC SLAWC along with other officers and other ranks from other respective battalions also were participated for the event.
