96TH COMMISSIONING PARADE OF SLMA BESTOWED 11 YOUNG LADY OFFICERS TO THE SRI LANKA ARMY WOMENS’ CORPS.

The 96^th Commissioning Ceremony of the Sri Lanka Military Academy was held triumphantly on 18^th and 19^th December 2021 with the presence of the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Gotabaya Rajapaksha. Out of 34 Lady Officer Cadets; 11 Lady Officer Cadets from Regular Lady Officer Cadet Intake 89(B), 18 (A) and volunteer Lady Intake 17 were graduated to render their services to the Sri Lanka Army and the country by joining Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps.

President award for the first order of merit in Lady Intake 17(v) was awarded to Pl/U/O/ HAT Prabashwari by His Excellency Gotabaya Rajapaksha , the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

The Colonel Commandant of SLAWC Maj General CD Ranasinghe RWP RSP witnessed the event and extended his warm welcome to all Lady Officers who have posted to SLAWC.
