The Outgoing Lt Col JPAP Dharmadasa CR, Commanding Officer, 2nd Volunteer Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps on Wednesday (29) March 2023 during a formal farewell ceremony, held at the battalion premises was saluted in accordance with military traditions.
A Guard Turnout at the entrance on his arrival at the 2(V)SLAWC, and saluted him before he was invited to receive the salute in the parade, presented at the battalion parade square. Addressing the troops, Lt Col JPAP Dharmadasa CR thanked all ranks for the generous assistance and support extended to him during his tenure which was followed by a tea party.
A farewell dinner was hosted on the following day which was given on behalf of all Officers appreciating his unwavering service rendered to the organization. Troops bid farewell to the 19th Outgoing Commanding Officer, with the presence of a large gathering of officers and soldiers.
