The 1st Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps proudly celebrated its 43rd Anniversary on 01st September 2022 marking yet another milestone. In celebration of the anniversary a series of programmes were organized with the participation and the direction of the Commanding Officer Major J R P K Galhena SLAWC.
In accordance with military traditions, the Commanding Officer Major J R P K Galhena SLAWC graced the Anniversary day’s celebrations on 01 September and on her arrival at the venue reviewed the Guard Turn Out, received the salute of the Guard of Honour presented by troops of 1st Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps and it was followed by the group photograph. The beauty salon of this unit was renovated and reopened in concurrent to 43rd anniversary of the 1st Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Women’s corps.
Coincide with the Anniversary day, Commanding Officer, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended to the All Ranks Lunch at OR’s Mess and it marked the anniversary day’s proceedings.
