Colonel DIS Jayasinghe psc, the newly-appointed Commandant of the School of EME assumed duties on Thursday (24) at the School of EME during a simple and solemn ceremony.

The monument ceremony to commemorate fallen SLEME war heroes was held on 3rd December 2021 at the School of EME - Gannoruwa in parallel to the 72nd SLEME Corps day celebrations. The Colonel Commandant SLEME, Major General SPSIMB Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc graced this occasion as the Chief Guest whilst many retired and serving SLEME officers participated in the event. Relatives of the fallen war heroes also participated in this event to remember their loved ones. This graceful event was organized with the direction of the Commandant - School of EME Colonel RT Lokutotahewa USP psc.

Pursuant to the commitment of Indian Army towards capacity building of Sri Lanka Army General MM Naravane, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, ADC Chief of the Army Staff Indian Army presented cut models of Ashok Leyland vehicle and Tata Sumo vehicle to the Department of Automobile Engineering, School of EME of Sri Lanka Army during his official visit to SLASC School – Tissawewa on 14 October 2021. Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Sri Lanka Army General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil and Commander of the Army Logistic Command and Colonel Commandant SLEME Major General Indu Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc were present at the occasion.

The admin inspection conducted by Regimental Centre Commandant was held at School of EME on 20 July 2021. Brigadier OMD Gunasinghe, Centre Commandant and Staff of the Regimental Headquarters were present for this event.

Seva Vanitha unit of the School of EME organized an event to handover food supplies for civilians served in School of EME, with the blessings of the Mrs. Nandani Smarakoon President EME Seva Vanitha Branch and the Regimental Council.
