1 Bn of Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps celebrated the 74th Independence Day under the instruction of Commanding Officer Major UMP Udukumara - SLLI on 4th February 2022 with the participation of all Officers and Other Ranks of camp premises.
The formal function was held, in National flag hosted by Commanding officer. Two minutes silence was observed by the all Ranks to pay tribute the war heroes who lost lives in the motherland. After that the commanding officer delivered a speech about importance of Independence Day.
During this programme Coconut and Na plants were planted in camp premises to mark the 74th Independence Day.
