The Volunteer Force Commandant General JMUD Jayasinghe made his first official visit to SLAPC on 21st of January 2021.
The Commandant was warmly welcomed by the CO - SLAPC and accorded with a Guard Turnout at the entrance. Then, a mango sapling was planted at the camp premises to mark his visit.
Major General J M U D Jayasinghe addressed the troops and in his speech, he stressed the importance of maintaining discipline, training about the field of communication technology, and military training. Then, he visited the camp premises.
After the visit, the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Commandant joined for a tea with the Officers and other ranks of Pioneer Corps and finally penned compliments in the visitors' book.
A maximum number of Officers and Other Ranks participated for this occasion.
