Brigade Commander of 582 Brigade, Brigadier SMSPB Samarakoon was at the Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps to conduct the annual routine administrative inspection on 05 January 2019 for the first time after execution of amalgamation and resizing process.
On his arrival, he was warmly received by the Commanding Officer of Pioneer Corps Colonel DLDD Jayasooriya and accorded a Guard Turnout at the entrance by the troops of Pioneer corps. Later on the visit, Brigade Commander planted a tree to symbolically signify his visit to the Pioneer Corps.
Before commencement of the inspection conference, he was not forgotten to address the gathering. Commanding Officer, Second in Command and Staff Officers and other ranks of Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps were among the gathering.
