The Mechanized Infantry Ranaviru Udanaya is a main annual fund raising event of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment. The event was successfully conducted for 9 th consecutive year at the Gam Udawa ground Dambulla on 13th and 14th July 2018. The success of the event was a result of untiring efforts by the Centre Commandant and All Ranks of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment under the guidance of the Colonel of the Regiment.

The Colonel of the Regiment, Major General Kumudu Perera with Mrs. Shiromi Masakorale, President - Mechanized Infantry Ladies Club graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Mechanized Infantry "Ranaviru Udanaya" marks prominent and mega carnival event in Dambulla area. The event offers safety and peaceful background for Civilians to entertain with their families. It was colourful with Armoured Vehicle Display and many fun games including Galaxy, Roller Coaster, Death Well, Merrigo Round, Horror House, Round Swing with many more entertaining activities. At the end of the each day event was decorated with Musical show performed by "Sunflower" and "Flash Back" with popular singers.

The objectives of this fundraising event is to looking after the families of fallen war heroes, differently abled war heroes with great care and towards the improvement of newly raised Regiment.
