Troops swiftly responded to urgent appeals from residents in the Ududumbara area and successfully rescued 70 people stranded due to severe weather conditions. The rescue operations were conducted in Kandegama, Madalanda, and Wadawalakanda—three villages located approximately 15 km from the Ududumbara Police Station.
