INDIAN ARMY’S DGMI PAYS COURTESY CALL ON GOC, 53 DIV

Lieutenant General RS Raman PVSM AVSM YSM, Director General of Military Intelligence (DGMI) of the Indian Army, together with his delegation comprising Brigadier SS Dhaliwal SC YSM SM, Colonel Yash Vardhan Patel, Colonel Ashish Sood, Captain Anand Mukundan of Indian Navy - Defence Attaché, High Commission of India to Sri Lanka, Lieutenant Colonel Vikrant Vishwasrao Deshmukh, and Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh - Assistant Defence Attaché, High Commission of India to Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on Major General Thanuja Godewatte RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 53 Infantry Division (RSF) on 18 September 2025 at the GOC’s Office, 53 Division Headquarters.

After a cordial meeting Indian Army’s DGMI planted a Sandalwood sapling at the 53 Division premises

Meanwhile, as a gesture of goodwill, the GOC presented a special memento to the India’s DGMI and he signed the Visitors’ Book to commemorate the occasion

Major General RPS Prasad RWP RSP USP, Deputy General Officer Commanding, 53 Infantry Division, Brigade Commanders of the Airmobile Brigade, 532 Infantry Brigade, 533 Infantry Brigade and all officers of the 53 Division joined the occasion.
