Conducting Tree Planting Programs

On 5 June 2025 a tree planting program was conducted at the Puttalam Municipal Council Ground by the District Secretariat in collaboration with the 58 Infantry Division to mark the World Environment Day. The initiative involved the successful planting of 30 valuable saplings. General Officer commanding, senior officers and soldiers of the 58 Infantry Division were participated to the event, along with other senior military officers of sister services and local government commissioners, highlighting a coordinated effort between military and civil authorities to promote environmental sustainability.
