OFFICIAL VISIT OF THE GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 58 INFANTRY DIVISION TO THE 583 INFANTRY BRIGADE

Maj Gen JKR Jayakody RWP USP who recently assumed duties as the 21 General Officer Commanding 58 Infantry Division visited to HQ 583 Inf Bde – Kurunegala on 20 Oct 2024.

The Brigade Commander 583 Infantry Brigade welcomed the GOC after formal Guard turnout then Comd 583 Inf Bde briefed Ops and admin matters to the GOC and accompanied him for Official Troop Address. The GOC planted a tree in the camp premises to mark the event a memorable one. Thereafter, the event was terminated with the traditional all rank tea. The troops of under command two battalion 1 SLSR and 6 VIR also attended to the event.
