Col LHCR Siriwardana RSP (O/63049), assumed duties as the 9th Brigade Commander of the 581 Infantry Brigade on 14 July 2024 at Bellagaswewa, Hambantota.

Col LHCR Siriwardana RSP placed his signature on a formal document after a brief religious observance as a symbolic gesture of taking over the command. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Rankers of 581 Infantry Brigade participated for the event.
