TROOPS OF 19 SLLI BUILD A HOUSE FOR A NEEDY FAMILY

According to the concept of the Commander of the Army , in order to create harmony between the civilian population and the army, the living conditions of Mrs. Dinusha Rukmali, a resident of the Kuda Weva village of the Polonnaruwa district, in the AOR belonging to 19 SLLI, have been improved under the first step to build a house for a low-income family living in the area. Donors donate goods and money for the purpose uplifting the quality of life Under the guidance of Major BAKIK Bogoda RWP USP SLLI, the commanding officer of the 19th Sri Lanka Light Infantry, with the financial and labor contribution of all other members of the unit. Major General PGPS Ratnayake RWP RSP ndc, the General Officer Commanding of 53 Infantry Division ceremonially handed over the key to beneficiary on 09 June 2024

Brigadier GDSM Alwis RWP RSP , Deputy General Officer Commanding of 53 Infantry Division , Colonel CP Wickramaratne RSP USP, Brigade Commander of 532 Infantry Brigade , Police Inspector KGA Sarath Kumara, OIC of Manampitiya Police Station, Divisional Secretariat- Dimbulagala Mr.SM Al Amin and Philanthropy also contributed to the completion of this house by donating goods and money .On behalf of all the family members, the General Officer Commanding of the 53 Infantry Division also proceeded to appreciate the support shown for the construction of the house by presenting gifts to them.
