532 INFANTRY BRIGADE MARKS ITS’ 14TH ANNIVERSARY

532 Infantry Brigade troops of the 53 Infantry Division under the 1 Corps, recently celebrated its 14th anniversary amidst military traditions and religious rituals. It was organized under the guidance of Colonel CP Wickramarathne RSP USP, Commander 532 Infantry Brigade at the camp premises in Sandunpura.

The main event of the programme was conducted on 04 Mar 2024 which included a ceremonial Guard Turnout to Commander, 532 Infantry Brigade on arrival on the anniversary day.Afterwards, the Brigade Commander planted a sapling in the Brigade premises and joined an All Rank lunch where he got the opportunity to interact with the Brigade staff and soldiers.

Furthermore, during the evening, troops conducted a “Bodhi Pooja” with the intention of transferring merit on fallen war heroes and invoking blessings on the serving, the injured and retired army personnel.
