‘ANGAMPORA’, TRADITIONAL MARTIAL ART INTRODUCED TO 1 CORPS

Sri Lanka Army Angampora Committee initiated a month-long ‘Angampora’ training course to 1 Corps and it’s under command 53 and 58 Infantry Division under the supervision of experts in the field. The opening ceremony of the training module began on 14 Jan 2024 evening at the HQ 1 Corps.

Major General SB Amunugama RWP RSP ndu, Commander of 1 Corps graced the occasion as the chief guest and he is holding the President of Sri Lanka Army Angampora Committee. Brigadier JKRP Jayasinghe RWP RSP USP, Secretary of the Army Angampora Committee and Commander 142 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Rankers of 1 Corps and 55 Infantry Division were witnessed Sri Lanka Army Angampora team thrilling skills in a display.
