AMBASSADOR OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA PAYS COURTESY CALL ON 1 CORPS

HE Julie Chung the Ambassador of the United States of America to Sri Lanka together with Defense Attaché Lt Col Anthony C Nelson, and assistant Defense Attaché Mr. Seth Nevins, paid a courtesy visit to the 1 Corps Headquarters-Kilinochi on Thursday (24 Aug) during her visit to the northern province.

The visiting Ambassador was warmly welcomed by Major General Saliya Amunugama RWP RSP ndu Commander- 1 Corps, on her arrival at the Corps HQ. During the cordial meeting, the Commander of 1 Corps and Her Excellency Julie Chung exchanged views on the bilateral relationship that exists between both countries and social welfare projects.

Mementoes were also exchanged in compliance with the customary formalities as tokens of appreciation. Moreover, Her Excellency Julie Chung signed the Visitors' Book leaving memories of the visit to the 1 Corps.
