9TH REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS CELEBRATES ITS 15TH ANNIVERSARY

9th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps proudly commemorated their 15th Anniversary on 15th July 2023 at the Regiment’s premises.

As the first event of the corps day programme, Inter Squadron Cricket matches and Volleyball matches were held on 08 July 2023.

The Commanding Officer and All Ranks of the unit conducted flag blessing event was held at unit Temple and Kanakambikai kulam Kovil where next to the unit on 11 and 12 July 2023.

On 15 July 2023 the anniversary day, the unit accorded a ceremonial Guard Turnout to the Commanding Officer upon his arrival at the main entrance that was followed by a ceremonial parade to the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel BMMB Herath RSP USP.

After the ceremonial parade Commanding Officer planted a sapling which was followed a group photograph. Then Commanding Officer participated for an all ranks lunch and addressed the troops at the end of the lunch.

9th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps also hosted an All Ranks’ Get – Together at the unit ground. The Chief Signal Officer and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Maj Gen KAWS Ratnayake ndu participated as the chief guest and Brigadier General Staff Officer – 1Corps, Brig RP Munipura RWP RSP, Senior Officers – SLSC and Battalion Commanding Officers also participated. Moreover, this event became more colorful with grand musical show, dancing items and fireworks organized in line.
