OUT GOING COMMANDER 1 CORPS MADE FINAL VISIT TO THE HEADQUARTERS 58 INFANTRY DIVISION

Major General Crishantha Gnanaratne ndc psc made his final visit in the capacity of Commander 1 Corps to 58 Infantry Division on 12 December 2022 which had been adorned by ceremonial garbs to welcome him.

He was warmly welcomed by Major General Wipula Ihalage RWP RSP psc ptsc at the entrance of the Headquarters 58 Infantry Division followed by Guard Turnout.

At the beginning of the day’s program, few thanking speeches were delivered by GOC 58 Infantry Division, Commander 581 Infantry Brigade and Commanding Officer of 1 SLLI, extending their gratitude to the outgoing Corps Commander for his excellent leadership. Thereafter, Commander 1 Corps shared his valuable experiences with the officers and other ranks during the troops address where he received a memento to mark the visit by GOC 58 Infantry Division before attend for the all-ranks tea. At the end of visit he participated for the alms giving and distributing of essential good to the elderly citizens living at ‘Our Lady of Lourdes’ Palliyawatta, Kalaoya.

Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and other ranks of 58 Infantry division had been witnessed the programme.
