DRY FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMME WAS CONDUCTED BY 4 COMMANDO REGIMENT

Troops of the 4th Commando Regiment was conducted a dry food distribution programme for 205 low-income families in Galwewa, Hambantota on 12 July 2022 under the direction and supervision of Brigadier VMN Hettiarachchi RWP RSP, Commander - Commando Brigade and Colonel PSJD Samarasekara RSP USP psc, Commandant - Commando Regiment Training School. Dry food also offered to the monks living in Purana Rajamaha Viharaya, Galwewa under difficult condition as revealed by the video viral on social media titled "A glass of water given by monks in the morning at a temple in Hambantota district".

Financial assistance for the programme was provided by Mr. JH Ekanayake, the Senior Accountant of "OOREDOO QATAR" Company and was successfully held at the Purana Rajamaha Viharaya, Galwewa with the participation of Mr. JH Ekanayake, Lieutenant Colonel KVTS Kakulawala Lsc, Commanding Office- 4th Commando Regiment and all commandos of “M” Group (4 CR) and “B” Group (1 CR).
