1 CORPS TROOPS GIVE AWAY DRY RATIONS ON VESAK DAY

Coinciding with the Vesak Poya day activities, troops of 1 Corps conducted a dry ration donation drive at Kilinochchi area on 15 May 2022. With the direction of Commander 1 Corps Major General Crishantha Gnanaratne and focused on identified families who are experiencing hardship due to their financial status. The officers and other ranks of Headquarters 1 Corps and under command Service and Support Battalions contributed in various capacities to the success of this event.

The programme mainly focused on assisting 100 needy people living in the Iranamadu area. Dry Ration Pack worth of more than Rs: 2500.00 each were distributed during the programme.

Brigadier Admin and Quartering Brigadier Asela Amarasekara, Colonel General Staff Colonel Kaminda Silva, Senior Staff Officers, Officers and other Ranks the programme and distributed donation at their doorsteps.
