THE VISIT OF COMMANDER 1 CORPS TO THE 58 DIVISION (RSF)

The 58 Infantry Division (Reserve Strike Force) Headquarters was visited by the Commander 1 Corps, Major General Crishantha Gnanaratne on 25 March 2022. Major General Rohitha Aluvihare, the General Officer Commanding of the Division warmly welcomed the Commander to Division with all military formalities and upon introducing Brigade Commanders, Divisional Staff, Commanding Officers and other staff.

The GOC conducted a briefing on the present deployment and operational readiness of troops. After that, Commander 583 Brigade was briefed about Rapid Action Foreshore Patrol (RAFP) and Rapid Action Tactically Employable Raft (RAPTOR), underwent practical/theoretical training and deployment as well. After the troops address, exchange the token to mark the visit of the Corps Commander. Finally, Corps Commander left his note of appreciation in the visitor’s book with well wishes.
