The Passing Out Parade of the Air Assault Course No - 24 was the grand culmination of Airmobile Training School (AMTS) at Nikawewa, adorned ceremonial garbs on Wednesday 23 February 2022 morning and inducted well-trained 6 more Officers and 324 Other Ranks of the Reserve Strike Force (RSF) who completed the Basic Airmobile Course No-24 at the AMTS, amidst greetings and best wishes during an eventful formal ceremony, dignified by the presence of Major General Harendra Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndc, Commander 1 Corps as the Chief Guest.
The day’s Chief Guest on arrival at the premises was saluted at first in a ceremonial Guard Turnout and invited to receive the salute of the parade, presented by the day’s passing out graduates after Major General KPSA Fernando RWP RSP ndu, General Officer Commanding, 53 Infantry Division (RSF). Brig PS Subath Sanjeewa, Commander, Airmobile Brigade and Colonel M.A.D.R Mangala, Commandant, AMTS welcomed Commander 1 Corps. Later on, the day’s Chief Guest was invited to award laurels and certificates to the best of the best in the Course No. 24. S/519175 Cpl Priyankara RDP - 1 VIR received the award for the Best Student and the Best Shooter. S/467891 Sgt Nandasiri AM - 3 GR received the award for the Best Student in Physical fitness from the Chief Guest.
