The 58 Infantry Division troops have contributed to the National Vaccination Drive Against COVID - 19 pandemic under the programme of “Vaccination Week” for the consecutive third day in an around where the divisional troops are being deployed. Troops of 581, 582 and 583 Infantry Brigades, have conducted the programme in coordination with Regional Health Service officers. Vaccination centre were established at Mercy Education Campus - Madurankuliya (Headquarter 58 Infantry Division - 358 were vaccinated), Madurankuliya Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya (Headquarter 58 Infantry Division - 894 were vaccinated), Hatton Plantation (581 Infantry Brigade - 314 were vaccinated), Abbotsleigh Estate Dik Oya (581 Infantry Brigade - 203 were vaccinated), Horana Town (582 Infantry Brigade - Awareness programme), Wadduwa (1 SLLI - 562 were vaccinated), Kurunegala Divisional Secretariat Office (583 Infantry Brigade - 38 were vaccinated) areas. The ongoing vaccination drive contributes to the national vaccination drive in order to, achieve its desired objectives.
