The three-day workshop was conducted to educate the officers and soldiers of 532 Infantry Brigade Headquarter and under command battalions on the dangers of drugs, drug addiction, effects on physical and mental health, and preventive measures to be taken. It was conducted with the guidance of General Officer Commanding of 53 Infantry Division, Major General Sanjeewa Fernando RWP RSP ndu and under the supervision of the Commander 532 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Anil Perera RWP RSP USP on 29 ,30 of November and 01 of December 2021 at Headquarters of 532 Infantry Brigade, 4 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, and 8 Gajaba Regiment respectively.
The Commander of 532 Infantry Brigade, delivered the opening address for the commencement of the program, and the planned workshop was unfolded with the assistance of the Psychological Operations unit of Army Base Hospital - Minneriya while adhering to COVID – 19 health guidelines.
