WORKSHOP ON THE NEW METHOD OF RIOT CONTROL DRILL AND RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, POWERS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A LEGAL ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

In view of raising the awareness of troops, a timely lecture on the "New method of RIOT control drill and rules of engagement, powers and responsibilities of a legal enforcement officer" was organized by the Headquarters of 533 Infantry Brigade on O6 December 2021 at the 6 SLLI Battalion Headquarter premises in Mahakanadarawa with the participation of 08 x 100 personnel from 6 SLLI and 01x15 personnel from 22 GR serving under the 533 Infantry Brigade.

Lectures were delivered by Major PKT Dewapriya RWP RSP USP SLLI, the Commanding Officer of 6 SLLI, and Captain PDRU Pathiraja SLLI. Finally, lectures were concluded with the newly introduced RIOT control demonstration. Moreover, the workshop was honoured with the presence of Brigadier VDS Perera, the Commander of 533 Infantry Brigade.
