TWO-DAY WORKSHOP ON "MILITARY IN INTERNAL SECURITY OPERATIONS" (MISO)

Two-day workshop on "Military in Internal Security Operations" (MISO) initiated by Directorate of International Humanitarian Law and Human Right with the guidance of Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil was conducted at the Headquarters 1 Corps at Iranamadu on 25 and 26 November 2021 under the supervision of Commander 1 Corps Maj Gen Harendra Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndc.

The session was conducted by Regional Arms and Security Forces Delegate Brigadier (Retd) Jacques Lemay and Mr: Channa Jayawardena representing the International Committee of Red Cross. 40 senior officers were participated for the workshop representing Headquarters 1 Corps, 53 Infantry Division, Forward Maintaince Area (Kilinochchi), Commando Brigade, Special Forces Brigade, 8 Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment and 9 Sri Lanka Signal Corps.
