TROOPS OF SPECIAL FORCES BRIGADE ORGANIZED BLOOD DONATION PROGRAMME AT BRIGADE HEADQUARTERS.

Special Forces Brigade at Vavuniya celebrated its 27 anniversary on 25 Feb 2024 and arranged few events with the participation of troops under command. In line with the vision of present Colonel of the Regiment of Special Forces Regiment and General Officer Commanding 57 Infantry Division, Maj Gen JPC Peiris RWP RSP ndc and Col DS Horawalavithana WWV RWP RSP, Comd of SF Bde organized blood donation programme parallel to the anniversary celebrations. There were more than 100 Special Forces members volunteered to donate their blood during the programme which was conducted on 29 Feb 2024 at the Brigade Headquarters.

Medical officers along with the staff of Blood Bank at General Hospital - Vavuniya provided the medical assistance for this humanitarian project. At the end of the day, they appreciated the generosity and the support given by the Special Forces troops for saving lives.
