TRAINING PROGRAMME ON INTERNAL SECURITY

In view to educate officers and other ranks of 1 Corps regarding the employment and the responsibilities lays under Internal Security Duties which playing a vital role in the present context of the country, a three days training programme was conducted under the guidance of Major General Crishantha Gnanaratne, the Commander - 1 Corps from 30 May 2022 to 1 June 2022 at the Headquarters of 1 Corps – Kilinochchi. Totally 06 x 104 of officers and other ranks were benefited under the programme which included lectures and demonstrations covering following:

a. Introduction of Internal Security.

b. Protection of Vulnerable Points & Key Points.

c. VIP Protection and Rule of Engagement.

d. Road Blocks

e. Crowd Dispersal

f. Cordon & Search

The training programme was commenced with the opening address delivered by Brigadier WSK Liyanawaduge RSP - Brigadier General Staff of 1 Corps and ended with the closing remarks delivered by General Staff Officer I (Trg) of 1 Corps who was the facilitator of the programme.
