Major General D.K.S.K Dolage USP nps psc, the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC) and Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), paid an official visit to the Army Base Hospital in Kilinochchi. He was warmly received by Major (Dr) Chandima Jayasinghe, the Officer Commanding of the hospital.
During the visit, the Colonel Commandant reviewed the hospital’s operational status and toured its facilities, focusing on service quality, staff preparedness, and maintenance standards. The hospital currently offers a wide range of essential services, including out-patient and in-patient treatment, dental care, provision of first-aid facilities, and support during disaster situations.
Addressing the hospital staff during his visit, Major General Dolage emphasized the vital role of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps in sustaining healthcare services within the military, particularly in the post-war context. He highlighted the importance of maintaining readiness, professionalism, and compassion in delivering medical support to all ranks and their families.
