SECOND STAGE OF THE INTERNAL SECURITY TRAINING PROGRAMME

In view to educate officers and other ranks of logistics battalions of 1 Corps regarding the employment and the responsibilities lays under Internal Security Duties which playing a vital role in the present context of the country, a three days training programme was conducted under the guidance of Major General Crishantha Gnanaratne, the Commander - 1 Corps from 23 June to 25 June 2022 at the Headquarters of 1 Corps – Kilinochchi. Totally 06 x 213 officers and other ranks were participated in the programme which included lectures and demonstrations covering the following:

a. Introduction of Internal Security.

b. Protection of Vulnerable Points & Key Points.

c. VIP Protection and Rule of Engagement.

d. Function of Road Blocks.

e. Crowd Dispersal.

f. Cordon & Search.

The training programme was commenced with the opening address delivered by Brigadier WSK Liyanawaduge RSP - Brigadier General Staff - 1 Corps and was supervised by the Training Section of 1 Corps.
