SCHOOL SUPPLIES DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMME

In commemoration of the Sri Lankans who made the ultimate sacrifice for the peace and prosperity of the nation an occasion marked annually in June a heartfelt school supplies donation programme was held on 11 June 2025 at Thiruwallur Vidyalaya, Kilinochchi. This compassionate initiative was organized under the visionary concept of His Excellency Anura Kumara Dissanayake and the guidance of the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP RSP ndu psc. Demonstrating unwavering commitment to community welfare Major General W.M.P.M. Wijesooriya RWP RSP ndu, Commander 1 Corps along with all ranks spearheaded the programme which aimed to uplift the educational journey of children from low income families. The event witnessed the gracious presence of Commander 1 crops Major General W M P M Wijeesooriya RWP RSP ndu , Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier S.J. Kariyakarawana RWP RSP USP, senior NCOs, Zonal Education Director of Kilinochchi Mrs. Predeepa Gayathri, and a large gathering of civilians, making it a truly memorable occasion that celebrated generosity, hope, and solidarity.
