OUT GOING COMMANDER 1 CORPS VISITED TO HEADQUARTERS 53 INFANTRY DIVISION (RSF)

The Commander of 1 Corps, Major General Crishantha Gnanaratne ndc psc visited the 53 Infantry Division (RSF) on 11 December 2022 prior to his retirement. During the visit a formal military ceremony held at the 53 Infantry Division Headquarters at Habarana. Moreover, a formal Guard Turnout was presented to the Commander 1 Corps at the 53 Infantry Division (RSF) main entrance by 8 Gajaba Regiment troops. Major General PGPS Rathnayaka RWP RSP ndc, the General Officer Commanding of the 53 Infantry Division welcomed the Commander with participation of Deputy General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Divisional Staff and Commanding Officers.

The Commander 1 Corps addressed the troops of the 53 Infantry Division and thereafter attended for all ranks tea. Finally, Commander, 1 Corps shared his valuable experience with officers where the GOC 53 Infantry Division presented a memento to mark his visit. With the signing of the visitors’ book, Commander 1 Corps terminated his official visit by wishing 53 Infantry Division and under command troops for the success in future endeavors.
