THE OFFICIAL VISIT OF CHIEF SIGNAL OFFICER OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY AND COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS TO THE 9 SLSC

The 10th Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and the 16th Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps Major General KAWS Ratnayake ndu made his first official visit to the 9th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps at Iranamadu on 13 June 2023. He was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 9 SLSC, Lieutenant Colonel BMMB Herath RSP USP and accorded a Guard Turnout at the entrance as a formal military tradition.

According to the itinerary, he planted a Mango sapling at the camp premises to mark his visit followed by a group photograph with all the staff of the 9th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps.

Subsequently, the Chief Signal Officer & Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps addressed all ranks. Then Commanding Officer presented a memento to Chief Signal Officer & Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps on behalf of all officers and other Ranks of the unit in order to mark his official visit to 9th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps.

After enjoying a tea with the all ranks, he made a camp visit and gave guidance for progressive improvements. Then the Commanding Officer conducted a comprehensive briefing on the states of Administration and Communication Matters.

Before concluding the day’s itinerary, Chief Signal Officer & Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps with all officers sat for lunch at the premises of ‘Lake Side’ holiday bungalow and left a couple of thoughts and compliments in the Visitors’ Book before the culmination of the day's proceedings.
