NEWLY APPOINTED GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 53 INFANTRY DIVISION TAKES OVER THE OFFICE

Major General Shanaka Rathnayaka RWP RSP, assumed office as the 30th General Officer Commanding of 53 Infantry Division (RSF), on 10 Nov 2022, amidst religious and traditional military formalities at the 53 Infantry Division Headquarters premises at Habarana. A formal Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour was presented to the GOC at the 53 Infantry Division (RSF) by 6 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment troops.

Later, the GOC posed for few group photographs with the Senior Officers and Staff Officers of 53 Infantry Division.
