MORE ELEGANT DECORATIONS ADDED TO ‘VESAK’ SPLENDOUR

According to the concept of Major General WMPM Wijesuriya RWP RSP ndu the Commander - 1 Corps, it was inaugurated the ‘Vesak Zone’ in Iranamadu–Kilinochchi organized by the headquarters 1 Corps with the participation of under command battalions from 12th May to 14th May 2025.

The ‘Vesak’ program included various events organized by the troops of 1 Corps. During the inauguration, the District Secretary - Kilinochchi, GOC 55 Infantry Division and DIG – Police area Kilinochchi were participated as distinguish invitees and the event was formally commenced by 1900hrs on 12th May 2025. Further in parallel to the event the ‘Ice Cream Dansala’ was inaugurated by the Commander 1 Corps and distributed among more than 6000 civilians. All religious leaders and thousands of civilians, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were attended to the opening ceremony of the 1 Corps ‘Vesak Zone’.
